She had studied up to class VIII only and that is supposed to have spoiled their relationship. She is aware of Modi's high position and does not want to create any mortification to Modi, though she is hopeful that sooner or later Modi will come to her and publicly acknowledge her as his wife
Narendra Modi is a nationalist since his childhood
days. Modi, then a 15 years boy during the Indo-Pak war of 1965, volunteered to
serve the soldiers in transit at the railway stations. Also in 1967, when he
was at an age of 17 years, he served the flood affected population of Gujarat.
Modi was born in a family of grocers in Vadnagar of Gujarat wanted to become a sanyasi when he was a child. He was always spellbound with Sadhus, different forms of worship and meditation. On completion of this schooling, Modi ran away from home and visited many places including Ramkrishna Ashram of Belur in West Bengal. Also he wandered aimlessly and stayed with unknown but yogic Sadhus for months in the Himalayas. All of a sudden after 2 years of wandering, he suddenly decided to give up ‘Sanyas' life and returned home.
Post his return from Himalayas, Modi helped ran a tea stall at the State Transport Office in Ahmedabad with his brother. It was during that time Modi learnt what hardship really is supposed to be. It made him more certain and determined on his approach towards life.
Narendra Modi is very meticulous about his look and appearance in public. He prefers trimmed beard. As for his clothes, his favourite cloth store is Jade Blue of Ahmedabad. In spite of now being in Delhi, all his clothes come from the same store. Modi always makes sure that he looks well-dressed and elegant whenever he moves out.
Narendra Modi adores his mother and never forgets to take her blessings whenever he undertakes a new initiative. In reality, she is his only closest family member. Post a swapping victory, when it became clear that Modi is going to be the next Prime Minister, he went to meet his mother. He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. He is a complete vegetarian. He is a teetotaller and is miles away from even minor vices.
