From a Brother to a Sister

The Delhi rape case is now old. In a few days it will be history. On the day the victim died, I had written this.

Dear Sister,

May your soul rest in peace…

People may not know you but you will be always remembered as one of the bravest andcourageous girl who fought till her last breath for dignity and life.

You are a true hero and symbolize the best in Indian youth and women in particular.
Your bravery as a fighter will always be in our minds…

You are a brave daughter of India…

In fact you happen to belong to the whole new world.

God saw you getting tired and there was no cure.

He then put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me…"

A brave heart stopped beating.

God broke our hearts to prove he takes only the best.

May your death strengthen people whose inner conscience knew where they failed you apart from the young Indian woman as also our future…

You arrived in this world only to show how cruel and insensitive many of us have become.

The history of thousands of years of civilization has not been able to transform us from animal to human…We still remain animals!!!

Our words of respecting women are but empty sounds.

We mourn your death with our heads hanging in shame.

A real homage to you would be amending the laws and Fast Track courts as fast as possible with time bound decisions and severest of punishments.

A brother in intense grief…
